Brief description of the business and what services you offer to schools

The River Learning Trust (RLT) is a Multi-Academy Trust responsible for a number of schools and a school-centred, initial teacher-training provider (SCITT) and operates more than 20 secondaries and primaries.

Constantly working towards acquiring new schools during the pandemic meant ensuring that any new schools brought into the Trust were taking advantage of the processes and software that RLT had made available over the last few years for its schools - and that included Securly.

Whilst looking for a new safeguarding solution, what were the core hurdles you faced with either your current solution or general setup?

We are now a long-time user of Securly - however, back in the day, we just wanted something that was easy to use, setup and just worked. Securly did that and other platforms were just a pain to us. I’d heard about Securly 5-6 years ago from some other Google users who recommended it; I investigated it based on that and we determined it was a good match to our needs.

Compared to other solutions you looked at, what was it about Securly that made it seem a good fit?

Google authentication and deep Google integration. Highly scalable. Easy to deploy. Good reporting. Parental engagement.

How did you find the onboarding process?

We have deployed to schools in our Trust many times and it's simple and painless. Our Safeguarding teams really value the reporting and alerts. There was no pushy sales process - we approached Securly more than 5 years ago and have used it ever since.

How did Securly surpass your expectations?

It does what it says on the tin and that's all we wanted and we'd highly recommend it!
